Abstract

Curriculum Innovation is a renewal or idea that is expected to have an
impact on the curriculum itself. the curriculum is only a tool or instrument to
achieve the stated educational and learning goals. The curriculum is not an
end in itself. Along with changes in society and cultural values, as well as
changes in the conditions and development of students, the curriculum also
changes. An understanding of curriculum innovation will greatly assist the
application of basic education learning principles. The problem is curriculum
innovation cannot be separated from success in education. The progress of the
withdrawal of education depends on how far the understanding of teachers in
carrying out their duties in school, including understanding of the curriculum.
Because it is essential for teachers to teach students to understand curriculum
innovation strategies, without teachers doing curriculum innovation it seems
difficult to know with certainty how the progress of education can be known
with certainty. Curriculum problems are related to the principle of relevance
and relate to the quality of the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor, while the
equity is related to opportunities and opportunities, then efficiency in terms of
internal and external.
